This is part 2 of the Let's Declutter and Organize It! series. Today, I'm discussing what is probably the smallest room of the home, and that is the bathroom. It can get pretty messy and disorganized if we let it. So, read on and find out how I organized mine.
First of all, I began with a new shower caddy because mine was getting pretty dingy looking. So, I picked this one. It's comes in a variety of finishes but I chose the satin nickel which is in the picture below. My old one hung over the shower head, but I wanted something different this time so I went with this tension pole type. So far, I'm loving it! It's got more space than my older one.
The next new item I purchased for my bathroom organization is a small, thin floor cabinet. It holds some extra toilet paper as well as a box of tissues on the top. I sat it in the corner beside the toilet. It doesn't need much space because of it's size, but yet it works perfectly to hide items you don't want just sitting out. I believe you can actually use it to dispense a roll of toilet paper, but since we already have a place to dispense toilet paper from, I use that area for tissues instead. It's the perfect size for the small, square boxes of tissues.
This next thing I absolutely love! It's a clever little storage basket that I couldn't live without. It holds all of your hot, hair-styling tools as well as brushes and combs. I just love it! It allows me to get all of these tools out of the way so that I don't have to worry about my kids touching the appliances while they're still hot. It can be wall-mounted, stood freely, and hung over a door depending upon your needs and the lay-out of your bathroom.
Lastly, I purchased this nice, white, free-standing floor cabinet so that I'm able to store some additional towels in my bathroom instead of out in the hallway. It has two louvered doors and adjustable shelves on the inside.
I was able to update and organize my bathroom for just over $150. I purchased all of these things on Amazon.
I hope you've enjoyed reading this post and that it helped you gain some cool ideas to organize your own bathrooms. Be safe!
